Freiburg took the lead in the 37th minute, courtesy of Ritsu Doan’s close-range finish from a well-crafted Merlin Rohl assist. However, Frankfurt responded emphatically. Just before the half-time whistle, Robin Koch rose above the Freiburg defence to head home a corner delivered by Marmoush, levelling the score at 1-1. In the second half, Marmoush took centre stage. The Egyptian forward put Frankfurt ahead in the 65th minute with a precise finish. Shortly after, he showcased his creative side, setting up Hugo Ekitike for Frankfurt’s third goal just six minutes later. The hosts added a fourth through Nmandi Collins to seal a convincing victory, further asserting their dominance.

With his goal in the match, Marmoush’s tally for the season now stands at 15, placing him in direct competition with Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane for the Bundesliga’s top-scorer honour. This surge in form has not gone unnoticed, as Marmoush continues to attract attention from top European clubs, with Manchester City in contact.
