Per , the veteran has already held talks with the Bavarian club and has agreed to put pen to paper on a new contract that will see his stay extended until 2026 at Allianz Arena. Neuer is about to enter the final six months of his current deal and there were speculations over his future at Bayern, however, the player has now reportedly agreed to stay for one more year.

The 38-year-old custodian is currently out injured with a broken rib that he suffered during the club's DFB-Pokal encounter against Bayer Leverkusen. The injury happened after he clashed with Jeremie Frimpong outside the Bayern box and was sent off for the challenge. It was the first time in his career that the ex-German international had seen a red card.
