A fan named Stuart brought the incident to City's attention by posting an image of the employee wearing a United t-shirt while serving pints to the fans on derby day. He wrote on X: "Absolute joke @ManCity – letting one of the bar staff in block 315 wear a United shirt on Derby Day."

The club took notice of the X post and quickly removed the person from their station in the stadium. In response to the irked supporter, they wrote: "Thank you for making us aware of this. We can confirm that this individual has now been removed from their position."

Amid the chaos off the pitch, City got back to winning ways in the Premier League with a terrific result against their rivals. Erling Haaland scored a brace while Jeremy Doku contributed with two assists as the Cityzens registered a thumping 3-0 win over the Red Devils on Sunday.
