On Tuesday evening, Leeds United announced that Kemar Roofe had officially left the club to join Belgian outfit Anderlecht.
The 26-year-old scored 15 times in all competitions for the Whites during the 2018-19 campaign.
Roofe had less than one year left to run on his contract at Elland Road, though, and has now been sold to Anderlecht for an undisclosed fee.
Losing the centre-forward at this stage of the season is not exactly ideal and it could hurt Leeds as they look to challenge for promotion once again.
The club’s fans, however, have sent extremely positive messages to the attacker.
It would have been easy for the supporters to express their frustration in response to Leeds’ official Twitter post confirming the news.
However, many were on hand to offer their best wishes to the £4.5m-rated ace, who will play under former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany in Belgium.
