West Bromwich Albion edged into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 1-0 victory over Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.
The Baggies are through courtesy of a left-footed strike from Kenneth Zohore, who was handed a rare start in attack.
Slaven Bilic made wholesale changes as he named an entirely new starting XI to the one that drew with Leeds United on New Year’s Day.
It was just Zohore’s 12th appearance of the season and first start since August, per Transfermarkt, and he’s clearly impressed several members of the travelling Albion faithful.
His performance has been talked up on Twitter following full-time whistle…
‘Absolute monster,’ ‘exceptional’ and ‘masterclass’ were just three phrases used to describe the 25-year-old’s showing while one withheld judgement until Zohore shows a similar level of performance in the league, but did compliment him by stating he was the Baggies’ best player on the pitch.
