Manchester United’s move for Phil Jones has stalled as it appears that Blackburn is investigating as to how his £16m release clause was made public knowledge. It all sounds like the work of agents in my opinion and the Venkys will have to learn to get use to the murky way that football operates in this country.
In the papers this morning there have been a mixed bag of stories that include Mark Hughes is now in the frame for the Villa job; Steven Gerrard calls on Henderson to follow his lead, while Arsenal risk the wrath of Barcelona over another raid on La Masia.
