After a mid-week European treat in the shape of Liverpool vs. Manchester United, domestic football is back, with the calendar rather disturbed by the FA Cup. Alas, there are plenty of games to watch and lots of opportunities to get a discounted pizza.
Yep, you heard us right, if the team YOU back scores two or more goals, Papa Johns will give you 50% off a pizza of your choice. All you have to do is sign up and wait for the ball to hit the back of the net a couple of times, which will see a tasty, discounted pizza hit your table.
We know not every team will be banging in the goals, so we here at FootballFanCast have gone to the trouble (we know, we’re lovely) of assessing who is likely to ease your gurgling belly…
Manchester City
The Citizens may have a Champions League game to think about midweek, but a trip to Norwich is likely to be one they will relish. The Canaries are battling for their life at the bottom end of the table, but having shipped two or more goals on a whopping 15 occasions this term, their porous defence is an issue. Man City enter the game on the back of a 4-0 win against a hapless Aston Villa.
Spurs
When Spurs’ XI for the first leg of their Europa League clash with Dortmund was released on Thursday evening, it quickly became clear that the league is the Londoners’ priority. Having rested some key men, it looks like the Lilywhites will be full strength away at Aston Villa, who have let in two or more goals on more occasions than any other side in the league this season, 17.
West Ham
FA Cup quarter-final time is always entertaining, and Man United vs. West Ham could be the pick of the four ties. The Hammers enter the clash on the back of a week’s rest, while the home side will be feeling the mental and physical effects of a Thursday night loss at the hands of Liverpool.
